PEDAGOGY
Anne Meteier's teaching is mostly based on observation : the eye of the professor is the first instrument of knowledge and transmission. It must adapt to every student in order to find the best way to convey this extremly codified langage to bodies that, by nature, are not.
Therefore, the lessons are very custom-made, respecting each student's physical and cerebral capacities. The teaching is progressive but especially pays attention to posture.

On the other hand, Anne Meteier’s pedagogy focuses on connexions between the "feeling" and the "action" since ballet is about apprehending one’s body and progressing according to the feeling of each movement. Exercices are created for this reason : developping multiple connexions between body and brain.
This way, the student can learn to manage simultaneaously movement, musicality, sensations, memory and concentration.

BIOGRAPHY
Anne Meteier begins teaching as the assistant of her professor, Master Yves Casati. Alongside that, she is a member of several classical and contemporary dance companies. State diploma holder, she opens her ballet classes for children in 1986 in Paris.
Between 1995 and 2015, many creations mark her choregraphic production such as competition variations created for her advanced students, and annual performance of her dance school where everyone can appreciate the quality of her lessons.
Through years, Anne Meteier had the pleasure to help hundreds of children grow up, progress and improve. Whether they chose to become professional or move towards other activities, these children have developed the capacities and tools to face the challenges they set themselves successfully.
Lesson after lesson, adult students become aware of their progress and pay more attention to the sensations brought by the ballet practice, which maintains motivation and discipline. The benefits of the efforts made during practiceare felt on a daily basis.
